About us

Plastics Unique is a Queensland-owned plastics printing and stationery manufacturer in Tingalpa, trusted by local businesses for decades. Since 26 October 2026 Plastics Unique and its hospital range, Sov Services, have been owned and run by Brisbane Plastics Company Pty Ltd.

What the change of ownership means for you

We are engineers who spent decades inside manufacturing businesses before deciding to own one. We bought Plastics Unique because it makes good products for loyal customers. Our job is to keep that going and make it easier to do business with us.

Our directors

Mathew Bowden, Managing Director

Mathew Bowden

Managing Director

Mathew runs the business day to day. He is a controls and automation engineer who founded Alertify in 2017, building industrial IoT monitoring devices in Queensland, and grew it into a manufacturing consultancy: SCADA systems, PLC programming, line commissioning and AI control algorithms for clients from defence to soft drink manufacturers.

In 2024 he co-founded Engram AI Solutions, building AI tools for industrial use. At Brisbane Plastics Company his focus is the factory floor: production flow, quality, maintenance and making sure every job goes out right.

Bruce Bairstow, Director

Director

Bruce is an engineer, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and a business mentor. He and Mathew first went into business together in 2017 with the IoT start-up Alertify.

Brisbane Plastics Company is Bruce's third business venture. As Director he leads strategy, systems and investment: pricing and quoting, finance, and the systems that connect customers, the office and the factory.

Owner-operated

Brisbane Plastics Company is run by its directors from the Tingalpa factory, bringing engineering, controls and commercial experience to a business that has made plastic products in Brisbane for 27 years.

    You approve a proof before anything is printed or cut. Nothing goes to the factory floor without your sign-off.

  4. Made and delivered

    Cut, printed, welded and assembled in Tingalpa, checked and dispatched or ready for pick-up.
